Butte wraps up first NA3HL season

The Butte Cobras ended their season this past weekend with two games against the league’s top two teams. On Friday, the Cobras took on Helena Bighorns in the State’s Capitol, losing 9-0. On Saturday the Cobras lost 14-0 to the Great Falls Americans.

Cam Cornish would make 47 saves in net for the Cobras after coming in relief. Garrett Peters would net four goals for the Americans and Henrik Robel would lead the Americans with four assists. This marks the end of the regular season for the Cobras in the North American 3 Hockey League. Tyson Stovin would end the season as the Cobras top goal scorer with 23, while also having 20 assists. Local player Robin Bagley would finish with 10 goals and 13 assists to finish in second among the Cobra point-getters. Goalie Karl Zodda finished with 1535 saves in 26 games.

“It was a rough weekend. We are excited about the future,” said Head Coach, Chris Shadow. “Our rebuilding process is already in effect. Some of our new faces are exciting players and will be a lot of fun to watch”
