The Bozeman Icedogs won their opening game at the 2018 North American 3 Hockey League’s annual showcase in Minnesota.

Bozeman topped the Skylands Kings 5-1 in the opener, as newcomer Sterling Morin netted two goals and led all Bozeman scorers. Hazen McKay, Nash Pine, and Duncan McGarrah chipped in a goal apiece, and Hayden Groth would lead in the assist column with 2.

However, the Icedogs dropped their next showcase game to Oswego by a score of 3-2. Morin and Dominic Canic notched the goals for Bozeman, while Pine and Groth provided the assists.  Morin would score Bozeman’s only goal in a 5-1 loss to New England.

The Icedogs remain in third place in the Frontier Division. Helena still stands at number one, and Great Falls stays in the two spot. The Icedogs next home series will be the December 28th and 29th against Great Falls on Friday, and Yellowstone on Saturday.
