Butte Travels to Bozeman

By Merrick Parnell

The Butte Cobras traveled to Bozeman to take on the Icedogs in their lone game of the weekend.  It would be the second time the Cobras and Bozeman have met in two weeks. The last meeting of the two clubs was on November 17th, and the Icedogs would top the Cobras 8-3. This time, despite Karl Zodda’s 49 save performance, the Cobras would lose 4-0.

“We cut shots down and that was one of our goals. We can’t give up as many shots as we do,” said Head Coach Chris Shadow. “Once we figure out moving the puck and moving our feet makes the game easier, we’ll have more success.”

The Cobras will take on the Gillette Wild next weekend in Wyoming. The Wild are coming off a huge 4-1 win against the second place Great Falls Americans. In their last match-up, the Cobras took the Wild down to the wire, but the Wild barely squeezed by with a 3-2 win in overtime.
