Montana State Hockey Splits in North Dakota Road Trip

Montana State University’s hockey team split a two-game series on the road against Dakota College at Bottineau in North Dakota. The Bobcats took Friday’s game 6-2, but would fall short and drop a 6-2 decision on Saturday.

“On Friday, we were slow out of the gates but turned it on in the 2nd and 3rd. Charlie Lafferty was fantastic and made some incredible saves to maintain our lead,” said Assistant Coach Brian Engh. “Saturday was a great battle also. Unfortunately, some tough penalties led to our demise. We really just have to find a way to put 60 minutes together. When we can do that, there’s not a team in the country that can stop us.”

The Bobcats will return home this weekend for a two-game series against Providence (Great Falls). Faceoff on Friday, October 26th is at 7 pm in Bozeman, and Saturday’s puck drop will be in Great Falls.
