The Aeros will play their home games at Repsol Place in Edson, Alberta.  “Repsol Place is a great arena, containing seating for almost 1000 people with good visibility throughout,” said President and General Manager Axel Axmann. “We have a fantastic dressing room, hospitality room, and office arena and we’re very happy to be playing out of this ‘ole barn.’”

“Edson is a town of over 8000 people in West Central Alberta, and our club plans to be a huge force in the community, with community integration being a major focal point of the Edson Aeros. Everything we have done with respect to the club at this point has been with the community in mind. From using local businesses to supply us with products and services, to billet families to volunteers and employees have focused around the community.” Axmann said.

The community will get their first chance to support the new club this fall when their inaugural season kicks off.

“We are going to play a huge role in the community. Hopefully, it’s what junior hockey is all about,” said General Manager and Head Coach Geoff Walker. “The support we have there is a real buzz and people have been great, so we are really looking forward to getting started.”

Walker has been hard at work this offseason assembling a roster that will be successful. “Fans can expect a team that is going to play with pace and works hard. Our roster is coming together nicely, so we are excited about that,” Walker said. The Wildcats will play their first exhibition game September 14th and will open their regular season October 12th.
